Over the past decade I have built or expanded multiple retail stores in the Los Angeles metropolitan area in the children's toy and book space.During my time managing retails stores I built a world-class team of retail associates who were passionate, self-starting, customer service focused and so much fun. I learned so much about how to build and support the best people for retail.My goal: to build an organization meant to last, and to increase sales through cultivating repeat customers, by building a beautiful, positive, and intelligent environment for my customers and clients.As an entrepreneur, I have a proven capacity to work exceptionally flexible hours, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.I began my career in retail folding Wrangler jeans, cleaning out changing rooms, and announcing blue light specials at K-Mart. I loved it- especially working with so many great people and meeting so many different kinds of customers.The following summer I had a completely different experience, working in a store focused on luxury brands and extremely high-end clientele at Saks Fifth Avenue.I brought these grounding experiences into my time building retail stores in LA. The winning combination, both when I began working on the sales floor and today, with all the challenges with online shopping and infinite competition, remains the same. That's building and supporting an elite team of employees who love what they do, and creating a special and trusting physical environment for shopping.
