I am a founding Board Member for a 501(c)3 foundation Mike and I started in the fall of 2007 to further science education among our youth. We work with local schools in the four surrounding parishes (counties) to provide scholarships to kids pursuing a science or engineering degree in college, to provide science equipment to high schools, to assist with the science area of our local parish's building of the new Children's Museum, to mentor high school seniors in their science internships by putting training them at our lab during their senior year, and much more.
