About Christine Gregory

After a career in DEI and civil rights advocacy, I have combined my passion for social justice with my love of food and culture to start Harmony Global Foods (HGF). HGF is a minority and woman owned innovative CPG food company that makes high quality, modern, ethnic food. The name of our company and our tagline holds deep meaning. Halmony. (Sounds like Harmony.) It means grandmother in Korean. The matriarchs in our family are the inspiration for our desire to create modern ethnic food. They loved us through the meals they prepared, and despite scarcity and lack, used their creativity to make abundance. From their most basic desire to feed us emerged a cuisine. Women of color like them are true culinary geniuses.Modern. While our foods are rooted in tradition, we push the limits on new and exciting flavors that reflect the diversity of today’s global cuisine.Ethnic. The food of immigrants and diverse communities should be valued and celebrated. We seek to reclaim this term as a recognition of culture, homeland, and identity. We sell ethnic food, but we are more than just a CPG company. We are part of a larger movement for a more inclusive grocery industry. As a feisty and ambitious start up, we are embarking on this journey to bring the foods we know and love to the marketplace.
