As a social worker, I am passionate about empowering others to live their best life. I believe in operating from the strengths perspective in all areas: working directly with clients, educating staff, students, or the community, and tackling what seems like insurmountable odds. I have twenty+ years of nonprofit management experience that includes compliance, program development and evaluation, staff supervision, nonprofit accounting, an agency merger, an agency dissolution, and leading an agency to reach its full potential. My fundraising/development experience includes a myriad of skills, but grants are definitely one of my favorite things. I am a skilled instructor, both online and in person, and enjoy managing all of the little details that are often overlooked. I am passionate about using my resourcefulness to improve the overall efficiency of an agency, manage change, and ensure a solid reputation in the community.

I was responsible for all fundraising, human resource and accounting responsibilities in addition to working with the Board of Directors on marketing and public relations efforts. During this time, the overall agency budget decreased by 30% each year while program support increased by 10% and client referrals tripled. In addition to streamlining existing services, I successfully prepared the agency, community stakeholders and staff for a merge. In 2012, the agency completed the planned merger with the Crime Victim Advocacy Center of St. Louis.
