With over a decade of experience in software development and technical education, I am passionate about creating engaging and effective learning experiences for technical audiences. My core competencies include curriculum design, e-learning development, and instructional delivery, as well as object-oriented programming and full-stack development. As a technical learning designer at Shopify, I designed and created high quality technical onboarding learning experiences for technical new hires in a variety of formats, such as instructor-led, recorded, and interactive e-learning.In my most recent role, I rapidly absorbed new technologies and distilled the information into effective lessons for experienced developers. I created hands-on lab activities in a complex development environment, and developed e-learning courses using Articulate Rise to teach employees company-wide how to edit documents on GitHub. I also maintained and improved the existing content library using various LMS systems, and wrote scripts and recorded videos for learning content. I leveraged my skills in Ruby, JavaScript, and Rails, as well as my previous experience as a software developer and a technical educator, to deliver high-quality and relevant learning solutions for Shopify.
