About Christine Lalla

After a successful career as a professional photographer, specialising in action/sports reportage, I completed a two-year Masters degree in Filmmaking at The London Film School where I wrote, directed, edited and produced my own films. In addition to this, I held the positions of Director of Photography and Camera Operator on 35mm productions - on graduation I was very fortunate to be mentored by Academy Award nominee, Barry Ackroyd BSC. My films have premiered at Locarno, Cottbus and Clermont-Ferrand Film Festivals, I am alumna of the Berlinale Talents and a member of the International Collective of Female Cinematographers (ICFC).My debut feature film, The New Boy which I wrote, directed, lit, produced and edited with a budget of £6,000 and shot 7 days - premiered at The East End Film Festival in July 2015.TV directing broadcast credits include Silent Witness (BBC), Midsomer Murders (ITV), EastEnders (BBC) and Hollyoaks (Lime Pictures, C4).I am a full voting member of BAFTA and represented by Ian Benson at The Agency for film & TV work.

The subject of four articles in Image Magazine, The British Journal of Photography and Nikon Pro.Commissioned photographer for the exhibition, Moving Objects: Thirty Years of Car Design at the Royal College of Art.
