From… Show more As a Program Officer for the Emergency Response Team, I manage an ongoing response portfolio through the entire program life cycle to achieve desired outcomes, including through local partnerships and direct implementation. During humanitarian emergencies, I have deployed to Turkey, Morocco, and Israel following disasters or conflicts to support response strategies, implement initial activities, engage with local authorities and coordination mechanisms, and establish local partnerships. From headquarters during an emergency response, I serve as the desk officer during responses, liaising between HQ and field staff, producing situation reports, maintaining an information dashboard, processing partnership agreements, and managing other response operations. I am also responsible for drafting concept notes for potential donors–including corporations and institutional donors–that outline critical funding needs for a crisis based on the response team’s assessments of affected areas using SPHERE standards. I collaborate with HQ stakeholders including the finance, development, communication, and legal departments to track response budgets, pursue additional donor support, promote response activities externally, and ensure compliance.
