Building relationships and trust with others so that they become comfortable is very important to me, especially when the occasional difficult conversation has to take place. This aspect is part of my strong work ethic, which comes from seeing how hard my father worked in the steel mills, and how savvy my aunt was in retail. From my earliest part-time job in high school, their dedication and strength have guided me professionally. In my current role, I’m part of a team of analysts that manage accounts receivables. This involves working on and resolving any deductions that customers take, making sure accounts are current, and bringing outstanding invoices to a customer’s attention. I also work with rep agencies - and depending on the type of deduction - identify pricing issues, if product isn’t received or is short on shipments. Getting those types of issues resolved, off the account and keeping them current ¬– that’s what I love. I’ve been with the company for 20 years and have done this type of work my whole career. Delta Faucet Company is unique in that lots of people are here for the long-term – even in our department there are five of us who have been here as long as I have. I enjoy the camaraderie I have with colleagues, and there’s a family feel to the culture. Outside the office, spending time with friends and family means a lot to me - it’s my happy place. I also happen to be a pretty good cook, enjoy traveling within the US, and love doing things like glamping with friends. Reading psychological thrillers and listening to eclectic music are on my list of favorite things to do, as well as decorating my house, which satisfies my crafty and creative side. Regardless of the setting, a strong work ethic, devotion to family and friends, and focus on enjoying life matter most. And sometimes that might just mean hitting the dance floor, or filling a room with wit and plenty of laughter.
