Assistant plant manager at the manufacturing and production facility of Permagreen Supreme Inc. I have a broad range of skills and experience in manufacturing and production environments, having started my career at the ground level as a shipping and receiving clerk and working my way up through the ranks over the last 20 years to become the assistant manager of the whole facility. During that time, I have had many roles and responsibilities. I have loaded and unloaded trucks using sit-stand forklifts. I have been responsible for inventory control, forecasting, and demand planning for the manufacturing and production teams. I have helped implement Lean principles and methods into the production process using 5S and Kaizen methodology for enhanced production and continuous improvement. Other duties have included purchasing all supplies needed at the facility as well as all materials needed for the manufacturing and production processes. I negotiate contracts and pricing with vendors.I work closely with your outsourcing partners to make sure they have the right tools and training. I assist in sales and customer service calls when needed. As the Assistant Manager, I am responsible for all the daily manufacturing, production, and overall operations of the facility, as well as maintenance scheduling, OSHA safety compliance, and continuous facility improvements. In this position, multitasking and adapting to rapidly changing environments are must-have skills. I am proficient in Microsoft Word, Access, Excel, and Publisher. I am computer literate and can learn any software easily. I have an unquestionable dedication, and I think it's my job as a leader to coach and encourage my team to be successful so that I can earn their respect and do the best I can with them.In 2012, I graduated from Ivy Tech with an Associate's degree in Advanced Manufacturing with honors. This was a significant accomplishment for me; it showed me I could work, be a mom and wife, and still accomplish significant goals in life. Then, I decided to further my education and go for a Bachelor’s degree in Business with a main focus on organizational leadership, which I completed in 2016 with a 3.2 GPA.
