I also create and update the investment plans for the next 3-5 years in each of these areas, planning future spend and alignment with business strategy and IT roadmaps. Work closely with London teams to deliver results.Demand Management: for new project requests: I am responsible for eliciting and documenting the business case, gathering requirements, scoping, and creation of the project charters. I also steward the funding process which includes preparing and delivering presentations to senior leaders in the Trading business. Once funded, my involvement decreases as the delivery teams begin project execution. Work closely with Project and Program managers to ensure this agile program continues to provide IT solutions that allow us to meet the various rules and deadlines. I oversee investment of an annual demand budget of approx. $30M USD.Business Strategies and Roadmaps: work with business leaders to understand their near and long term strategies and align with architecture technology roadmaps, fostering partnerships between IT and the business. This allows us to forecast spend and manage costs. Heavily focused in our DoddFrank Regulatory and Compliance program as the IT focal point in a Senior Leader Steering Committee for these regulations. This area is especially challenging as the rules continue to evolve in a fast paced commodities trading environment. I also sponsor our Trading Business Analyst Network, help Shell recruit new talent at universities as an assessor, and mentor several employees in career development.
