I specialise in financial lines insurance law managing highly complex claims including multi-party professional negligence matters, high-value project specific risks, excess layer claims and class action disputes. I have over 15 years’ experience, having worked for several years both in-house and in private practice specialising in contentious professional indemnity claims. Prior to joining Carter Newell, I worked at Suncorp for over 7 years, where I managed civil liability claims made against medical professionals and NSW public hospitals, allied health professionals, barristers, accountants, engineers and other insureds. I also managed numerous complicated directors’ and officers’ and management liability claims arising against individuals and corporate entities. I enjoy working collaboratively, particularly with insureds, brokers and underwriters, to resolve claims that require tailor-made solutions and a nuanced understanding of various perspectives and stakeholders interests.
