Department SummaryBloomfield Township Senior Services operates 69 hours and six days each week in a beautiful building with a welcoming atmosphere. Each week more than 120 recreation programs are offered and 500 units of supportive service are delivered. Fifty percent or 20,000 Township residents are directly eligible and 12,000 are or have been involved in programs or services throughout the past 6 years. Growth is demonstrated by 60 new customers each month and we maintain the highest resident contact annually for any Bloomfield Township department. 50% of BTSS funding is derived from a .25 millage representing one half of a penny from each dollar paid by township taxpayers. The balance is generated by user fees, copays, fundraising and grants.
