• Managing a team of 9 Cambodian Program Managers, focusing on the development of local talent. Working alongside the Program Managers to guide them in developing their decision-making, leadership, and technical skills.• Creating and implementing new HR policies and systems alongside the Country Director and HR Manager (travel reimbursement policy, scholarship policy, and performance review system, interviewing and hiring system).• Securing funding through volunteer and donor relations during campus visits as well as through establishing relationships with businesses within Siem Reap to support the organization monetarily.• Strengthening and motivating the Program Managers to develop the capacity of their team members, implement program systems such as log frames and annual budgets, and plan strategically for eventual program absorption into the official school systems.

Phnom Penh, Cambodia

• Supported Peace Corps Volunteers in terms of resource acquisition, project assistance, and mental/emotional health maintenance. Liaised between Peace Corps staff, Volunteers, and host country nationals.• Researched, developed, coordinated, and facilitated Staff Development training sessions regarding technical skills and cultural knowledge (i.e. American Educational System, Time Management, Getting On The Same Page, Safe Zone, etc).• Oversaw the Website Team for the new Peace Corps Cambodia website and other social media outlets: conceptualized work plan and website organization, authored content, and delegated other staffs' tasks all within guidelines from Peace Corps Worldwide. . • Facilitated both Global-Core and technical sessions at training events (i.e. Working Effectively with Khmer Coteachers, Classroom Activities - Contextualized for Volunteer Realities in Cambodia; Gender and Dating in Cambodia, etc).• Created monitoring and evaluation tools for Education Volunteers to track their progress toward Peace Corps Cambodia’s framework.

Svay Rieng, Cambodia

• Taught high school English courses alongside a Cambodian English teacher, focusing on increasing student participation and varying teacher methodology to improve language education within the state curriculum. • Collaborated with Khmer community leaders to develop a project plan, create a detailed budget, and write a grant under the guidelines of Appropriate Projects - Water Charity. Fundraised for $1100 in personal donations from the U.S. to build a bathroom at the local health center and a water tank for clean water access at the high school.• Drafted concept notes for Youth Star Cambodia.• Maintained a blog of personal writings which received more than 33,000 visitors over the course of 18 months as a part of Peace Corps focus on cultural exchange and educating Americans about other peoples. • Achieved Intermediate High level in verbal Khmer on the Language Proficiency Interview as of the end of 2012.
