Through comprehensive education programming, the Art Museum of Southeast Texas (AMSET) fulfills its mission. Through exciting and fun visitor experiences, AMSET programs enhance audience knowledge and appreciation of the fine arts. AMSET works to constantly expand and diversify the scope and audience of its educational programs. Currently AMSET education programs reach and service an ethnic makeup equivalent to that of the Beaumont, Texas area. With only two full-time staff members, AMSET welcomes approximately 17,000 K-12 students a year. 1. Research, organize, develop and implement tuition-based and free classes, workshops and other projects/outreach programs in conjunction with the Curator of Education/Outreach.2. Supervise instructors in planning curriculum for classes and workshops. 3. Act as lead coordinator for Summer ArtVentures, Odom Junior Docents, Protégé high school senior competition and exhibition and other programming as required. Work cooperatively with the Curator of Education/Outreach to implement quarterly Family Arts Days.4. Work with the Curator of Education/Outreach to prepare annual income and expense projections for programs, classes and outreach.5. Recruit and supervise instructors and volunteers for programs, classes and workshops. Serve as an instructor as needed. Serve as Docent as needed.6. Develop and implement interactive, visitor-space educational components highlighting artwork on view via traditional and new media approaches.

1. Provide interpretive services to museum visitors through guided tours and workshops, as well as special events such as family programs, exhibit openings and museum outreach programs.2. Instruct and/or aid pre-designed hands-on, age appropriate classroom art activities as an enrichment to museum gallery experience.3. Work as front desk guest services representative.
