About Christofer Wickmark

To solve problems, method and process are of course important. Equally important is drive, thoroughness and purpose while at the same time ensuring it fits well into the big picture. That is how I approach problem-solving.I am an analytical problem solver at heart who loves helping people, in both my professional and personal life. Regardless of complexity, finding a good solution and seeing people succeed drives me. Whether that is in risk engineering, fire safety, murder-mystery or just finding a good movie to watch, I love to solve them all. Just not crosswords and sudoku, we simply don’t get along. My career started when I found a university pamphlet with flames on it, thinking it looked way cooler than other engineering professions. I started studying fire engineering in Lund, Sweden which eventually took me to both New Zealand and the USA. Working with different people, cultures, as well as projects and risks of varying complexity has given me more skills and insights than anyone wishes to read here. What stands out is my ability to communicate clearly and effectively, always striving for simplicity, and most importantly a willingness to keep developing both as a professional and human being. I am a self-proclaimed junkie for new experiences, everything from trying the new local diner to breathtaking adventures below the surface of the Red Sea. At the same time I strive to be more people and planet positive, and therefore dedicate more and more time to nature and wildlife experiences closer to where I live.
