As an Engineering Manager, I managed the engineers of two-three empowered product teams, ensuring the quality and timely delivery of our products, and helping IKEA grow as a technology organization. As a founding member of a team tasked with building an e-commerce search engine for the ikea.com website I played a key role in scoping and prioritizing work, defining performance metrics, and communicating with stakeholders during the early stages of the project. I was part of a small team designing and developing a new web platform and architecture for content and e-commerce, based on micro-services and distributed teams. The platform later became the foundation of the next generation of the ikea.com website.My work included full-stack application development, building cloud infrastructure and automation. As a lead developer I represented the tech perspective in discussions about strategy and priorities.
