I supported the Business Development Manager and was teamed up with him to be responsible for the Acropolis Business Center, which meant management of information related to target customers. Furthermore, I prepared sales schedules, did weekly reporting and submitted and promoted the expansion of sales activities planned.

I did a Finance Internship with the R&D Finance leader. This gave me the opportunity to develop my leadership as well as my financial skills. I had full ownership of various accounts in my role which meant continuous tracking of costs against budget. Other tasks included actuals reporting to the R&D organization, support in the monthly Estimate roll up, Capex reporting and analysis, as well as proactively guiding the organization on the importance of the Buy2Pay process, so as to minimize manual accruals at month end. Overall, I felt this role provided me with a solid introduction to key P&L finance tasks but also various aspects of the controllership function.
