As part of a newly formed IT team in Heart of God Church, our goal is to digitalise and revolutionise the overall church experience. My role as a Product Manager can be defined in one sentence – pioneer new grounds with solutions that brings a new digital layer and technological dimension to the organisation.💡 5 quick things you should know about me, as simple as giving a 🖐🏻 hi-5:1️⃣ Being a Product Manager, I break down the goals of stakeholders, transform them into simple requirements and lead cross-functional teams to deliver on world-class solutions. 2️⃣ I enjoy helping people learn, grow and succeed in their roles. Success to me is making others successful. I'll rather be a kingmaker than a king. Beyond my core role as a Product Manager, I was actively coaching, mentoring, supporting and helping volunteers who are part of the IT function.3️⃣ The success and sustainability of the organisation doesn't rest on the talents and abilities of a few, but empowering and enabling teams. One thing I learnt from my Pastors who happen to be my bosses is that we need to constantly build a deep bench, just as how the best sports team are not anchored by a few star players but also team players who deeply know what they bring to the table.4️⃣ What's important to me is not just success in terms of promotion and garnering a high pay grade but leaving behind a legacy. Legacy is not what I've achieved but what I've set in motion. This leads me to the last point.5️⃣ My favourite quote is written by William Carey: "I'm not afraid of failure; I'm afraid of succeeding at things that don't matter."
