Developing cost-effective autonomous solutions for environmental monitoring using multi-agent teams of robotic surface vehicles.

Part of the Cooperative Robotic Watercraft (CRW) project. Designed and built multiple iterations of airboat assemblies to reduce individual cost and facilitate mass manufacturing. Optimized hull structure and fan duct design to increase the operation efficiency, controllability and fault tolerance of the system. Helped implement PID control and path planning on the Android platform used on the boats. Research advanced control techniques to improve robustness of the boats.

Led the development and implementation of a multi-agent UAV platform to demonstrate the capabilities of custom mission management software developed as part of Army REP 2018. Organized and conducted field testing efforts for the platform throughout development. Supported system deployment at the Marine Corps' manned-unmanned teaming limited operational assessment.

Assisted in the design and development of various personnel detection and tracking technologies for use in autonomous mining applications (e.g. Detect System).

Designed and implemented an augmented reality interface to clearly present localized radiation data from a centralized database. Project was developed for the Google Android mobile platform.

Designed and coded navigation algorithms in C++ based on matrix transformations for use with autonomous mobile robots. Implemented obstacle detection and mapping via input from ultrasound distance sensors.

Created a Human Machine Interface to guide a mobile reconnaissance robot in C++ and OpenGL. Implemented basic object recognition using live video input and the ARToolKit software library.
