• My job at IKI has been to build up and develop the Business Insights and Analytics department from scratch to help IKI turn data into profit. The department consists of the following three teams:
• Business Insights team: Focuses on providing high quality data models and reports to business units
• Analytics team: Is responsible for solving business problems using advanced tools from the ML/AI toolbox
• Data Monetization & Consulting team: Builds up our retail media business unit.My core projects are:
• The modernization of our data architecture with tools from the modern data stack (dbt) in close collaboration with RIAG IT and Data Engineering from REWE Germany. I initiated and lead the development of the data.
• Building up our retail media and advertising business. Checkout screen.club for more infos.I also built an Analytics Community within Rewe International Group to provide trainings and make it easier to share know-how.

• As head of the analytics group, I am responsible for developing the BILLA data science team. After the merger between BILLA and BILLA Plus (formerly Merkur), I also took over the BILLA Plus analytics team.My team is.
• Customer Research (market research, customer satisfaction and offline testing) and
• Customer Analytics (identify sales drivers using transaction data)Specifically, we:
• ... develop tooling to bring the efficiency of online A/B testing to the offline world
• ... provide sales forecasts for top management
• ... help various departments with their analytics needs and try to push self service analytics.I also contribute strongly to the development of the Rewe International analytics infrastructure as a member of the Data.

Vienna

• I am responsible for designing the data science architecture, building the data science team and for coding up predictive models. Specifically, I:
• designed and implemented a high-performance computing solutions based on AzureBatch and Docker to allow low-cost, on-demand access to potentially thousands of cores of compute power while at the same time.
• build forecasting models to predict logistics demand for over 3,000 distribution locations in Austria on a daily level, predicted estimated time of arrival (ETA) for deliveries and currently work on forecasting supply.
• implemented a modified version of the SCRUM software development framework tailored to the specific needs of data science teams.
• am actively involved and contributing to the design of our Azure Analytics infrastructure.Grants:Data Science team awarded EUR 80k in grants from Vienna Business Agency to help advance women in IT Research &.

The World

My girlfriend and I had talked about traveling around the world for a long time and when we both quit our jobs to go to university again, we thought: it is either now or never! We took a year off during our studies and for the next 9 months we traveled from Austria to South Africa, then to Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Bolivia, Peru, New Zealand, Australia.
