About Christophe Clement

Rapid overview of my carreerAfter a master degree in Paris VI, I defended my PhD in Reims in 1994 about pollen physiology in the anther. I was recruited as assistant professor in 1995, defended the habilitation in 2000 and promoted as Professor in 2001.I thus became the head of the RIBP (Induced Resistance and Plant Bioprotection) lab (https://www.univ-reims.fr/ribp), which includes 40-45 people. This lab works for 30 years to elucidate plant immunity and to develop alternative strategies to chemical pesticides for plant health.In 2012, I created the Research Federative Structure Condorcet (https://www.sfr-condorcet.fr) fro the CNRS (FR 3417). This federation is composed of 31 research structures, 15 technical and technological platforms and 700 scientists from 7 universities in the north of France, in Belgium and in Brazil. This federation is dedicated to promote research actions in the whole value chain of bioeconomy.
