Missions :- Definition and deployment of the department strategy- Definition and deployment of the department’ standards (organization, skills, facilities, methodologies)- Development of R&D tools and methods to reduce engineering costs (CAE, design guidelines, sub systems approach, automation process)- Quotation phase : Negotiate validation items with OEMs (product specifications, CAE & Test validation plans, planning & costs), to validate a product concept being compliant with legal regulations and customers’ specifications- During the project phase : Support engineering teams to design, optimize and validate robust and profitable products versus both legal and OEM’s specifications, deadlines and costs objectives- Testing and approval of products versus both legal and OEM’s requirementsResults :- Management of a worldwide activity- Set up of an international safety and regulation team to reach international regulations- Reconsideration of the Laboratory organization to meet the project needs (abandon the multi-skills and multi-competences)- Set up of a new strategy to decrease the development cost- Creation of an in-house CAE LCC team (6 Engineers - Indian team). Transfer all CAE hours to India- Strong improvement in the development of the airbag area by creation of standardization, which allows a cost reduction- For all projects in development, 100% tests validated to obtain the customer’s payment on time- Found synergies between local company’s entities to get the best outcome
