Christophe Jourdan is a senior scientist at the International Agricultural Research Centre for Development (CIRAD), an international center devoted to conduct research in Southern countries. He is a recognized specialist of tree root dynamics, architecture, development and modeling, having published 102 papers (up to January 2024) in peer reviewed journals (H-index 42). He has substantial experience in the coordination of different tasks/projects (leader of CIRAD projects including several international research teams and in charge of 7 WP in different ANR or EU projects), most of them including field studies in foreign countries. He has a strong experience in overseas studies, in South East Asia, Western Africa, Central and South America. He is currently posted in France (Montpellier), participating in 2 European Union DESIRA, 2 EUROPEAN UNION HORIZON, 4 ANR, 1 FUI, 2 AGROPOLIS Fondation (RTRA/LabEx Agro) projects. He has a strong experience in the organization of International thematic/training school (Racin’Situ) and participates to several modules at master level (SupAgro - Montpellier, Univ. Dakar & Univ. Thiès - Sénégal).
