The software component concept was spread within Océ and many of the software architects and developers were trained by the team. The framework was used in all R&D sites of the Océ group• The TCS 400 color system was the first to include a programmable and configurable color pipeline for the print and the copy. This enabled the creation of a new system made of a new scanner and a new printing technology in 2 weeks instead of 3 months. -

Software Engineer - Cas.Cade/ Software Factory ProductMatra Datavision Inc Jan 1994 - May 1997• Lead the creation of a rheology’s post processor for Renault car manufacturer (C, OpenGL with 3 people). The software was able to show in 3D all the injection layers and the flow of material per layer in the mold. An algorithm to manage the illumination of the model was also implemented to ease the analysis of the process. The software was presented and sold to other companies in various industries.• Creation of an algorithm able to measure the minimal distance between two 3D surfaces used in the Euclid 3D CAD software. The algorithm had a precision of 12 figures and was used for mold tooling creation and other industries that needed to take care of the physical properties interaction between parts.• Creation of the transient and persistent model of the CAS.CADE (www.opencascade.org) software framework.• The system was able to manage 5000 transient classes and 500 persistent classes. All object databases (O2, ObjectStore and Objectivity) used were isolated and exchangeable. A library of large 3D persistent object was created to avoid the limitation of the object databases. This opened the way to store very large object like a complete car in one base.• Definition of the architecture of the integrated development environment for the CAS.CADE framework. All the build management was automated and integrated. The environment also allowed the deliveries between the teams developing the various parts of the CAS.CADE framework and the product based on that platform. Around 60 developers were able to work simultaneously with the framework on 5 different products targeting 6 computer operating systems. -
