Christophe Mazel is currently consultant-expert in the field of civilian UAVs. He is also an active member of the regional cluster drone AETOS (member of the Steering Committee), the international cluster Aerospace Valley (member of the Commission market Drones), the cluster Agri Sud-Ouest (member of the Certification Committee), the National Council of Civilian UAVs (member of two technical committees), delegate at the French Professional Federation of Civil Drone (FPDC) for the Normative aspects & International cooperation and Convenor ASD-STAN – D5WG8 "UAS Unmanned Aircraft Systems".He founded in 2008 the company named Fly-n-Sense, company dedicated to the design and the manufacturing of Micro and Mini UAV systems for commercial, security and defense applications. He managed this company until October 2015.Prior to his current position, Christophe worked for Mercury Computer Systems (MCS), Template Graphic Software and G5G. His background in aeronautics comes from his international business development position at the Avionics and Unmanned System Group in MCS, plus the years spent with the Navigation & Simulation Group in San Diego (CA/USA) as Technical Manager for Navigation and Ground Station software development. Before that Christophe held various positions with Template Graphic Software and G5G, starting as a software development engineer, project manager then as Professional Services Director in TGS's Bordeaux and San Diego (CA) offices.Christophe holds a Master degree in Computer Science from ENSEIRB (Ecole Nationale Superieure d’Electronique, Informatique & Radiocommunication de Bordeaux) and from the University of Bordeaux I, France.
