A man of many hats. From bug testing to helping implement our SEO goals, in a small shop everyone has to help with everything. Had and have great coworkers that always manage to push the limits of what a small team can do. Been able to grow in skills while we grew as a company; from a relative new comer to the apartment listing space to one of its larger players it has been fun to see the company expand so rapidly. Even through multiple acquisitions, we have managed to maintain what has made us great, and I am happy to be apart of that.

After moving to Austin, I needed a job quick. Was quickly hired on with ECA to work the phones. I did well, we were selling IT management software and it was my job to make the cold calls. The project was only going to run for 4 months, but we were so successful they extended the contract for a full year. I was only there as a temp, but my abilities to learn quickly and my technical background sent me from the phones to the IT department. There, I ran reports for our managers and agents, oversaw all machine issues (from phones to computers), and was part of rewiring our entire new facility. It was a great if frantic experience. As a person that loves technology and people, IT was one of my favorite jobs. Not without heartache, but full of rewards both intellectual and personal.

As an intern, my job was to develop a cross training tool for c and c++ programers to use their own software development tool called Clarion. Beyond this I also undated legacy code from current and former employees to meet with coding standards. This was my first real coder job, very rewarding. Gave me a good foundation for understanding what to do and not to do. As a company that largely created legal documents, it was important that all the t's were cross and i's doted perfectly. Dealing with older, legacy code gave me an appreciation for modern coding standards like descriptive names and comments. It was good to learn how it you should never stop learning. That if your code from a year ago doesn't embarrass you, you aren't growing. That is what Prodoc taught me, an invaluable lesson.
