As the production coordinator I am responsible for the construction and delivery of the 24hr mine plan whilst ensuring safe productive focus is maintained within the supervision/ leadership team to execute the 24hr plan and week+1 plan by our 6 operational production fleets consisting of two electric rope shovels ,three 600 tonne excavators and one 400 tonne excavator an the respective fleets of ultra class haul trucks an auxiliary equipment and also our mine services department that executes our enabling tasks for future development and maintains operational area compliance.I maintain consultation with key stake holders to develop the monthly mining plan/ sequence to allow my team to deliver on our SRF targets.Continuous improvement is a major focus with in this position along with coaching an mentoring of direct reports, mastery facilitation/ execution , incident investigation standards an consistency and developing my team to ensure they are executing their roles as leaders efficiently, safely and consistently.

In my role as compliance / production supervisor I have successfully improved compliance standards across multiple aspects of our business from short term / long term forecasting, dump and excavation practices, compliance in line with statutory regulations and contractual compliance. My everyday tasks consist of but are not limited to working with the mining production team, crew supervisors and maintenance teams to ensure we capitalize on all opportunities to add real value to front line operations by using my technical knowledge to coordinate work activities for greater efficiency that supports the delivery of standardized work and safe operating process which in turn increase production and lower frequency rates and potential of incidents.

As a part of my role as a production mining supervisor at Millennium mine it is my obligation to lead my team in a safe and constructive manner with a 100% focus on safety. I over seen all facets of the mining process from allocation of employees and machinery to removal of overburden material via a truck shovel fleet which was the 2nd highest productive P&H rope shovel in Australia. Also, excavation of coal seams with excavator truck fleets, de-watering and pumping operations both in pit and highwall practices, supervision of coal stockpiles and ROM operations. Implementing the weekly plan and weekly wash plan to ensure correct product blend by maintaining correct feed seam coal and feed method insuring 100% productivity and maximum utilization to ensure the Run of Mine and stripping fleets operate at their peak performance levels needed. I also collaborated with drill & Blast to relocate drills prepare drill benches and also oversee drill and blast employees with duties associated with misfires etc. Millennium mine is a geographically challenging mine site which has only helped me in my adaptive approach to mining operations. With its steep coal seams, its commonly faulted ground, sometimes intersecting faults and its fluctuating water issues and inconsistent stripping ratios have allowed me to operate and function in this challenging environment which ensures I work in a safe, productive and budget minded manner. Position ended due to mine life and high wall mining operation commencement.

Within my role as a coal mine worker at Goonyella / Riverside mine I competently operated a vast amount of equipment types, trained assessed & authorized crew members on P&H 4100XPA, 4100XPB, and 4100XPC electric rope shovels and CAT track dozers. I was safely and productively operating P&H rope shovels for 10 years in all types of production environments and digging configurations. Also, as a shovel trainer/assessor I was involved in the implementation of improvement measures on an operator skill enhancement level to allow for higher consistent shovel dig rates and availability. I gained knowledge of Dragline practices whilst working in the dragline areas this work consisted but was not limited to dragline keyways, pushing of roll in and around working draglines and low wall ramp construction. I then moved up to a supervisor role to a large pre-strip crew where I was responsible for a large truck and shovel fleet operation consisting of up to and including 3x P&H rope shovels 3x O&K 340 excavators 1x Hitachi 3600 excavator and all associated axillary machines involved with these fleets. Also, a large Ultra class Cat 797, Komatsu 930e and Cat 793 truck fleet. Whilst still ensuring compliance with operating standards, procedures, work instructions and defined processes while meeting and exceeding production goals with a 100% commitment to Zero Harm. I also facilitated continuous improvement processes to improve efficiency of management processes to my team of people.
