Chris DeVore is a partner at the Taft Stettinius & Hollister Indianapolis office. As a member of the firm's Intellectual Property and Technology practice group, he concentrates his practice in the areas of patent preparation, prosecution, and opinion work.Prior to joining Taft, Chris worked as a patent examiner for the United States Patent and Trademark Office in Alexandria, Virginia. As an examiner, he reviewed patent applications in the refrigeration art, including heat exchangers, vapor compression circuits, ice makers, refrigerators, air conditioners, heat pumps, and geothermal systems. While in law school, Chris worked as an intern for the University of Cincinnati Intellectual Property Office, where he gained experience in licensing and material transfer agreements. He also served as a member of the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program, where he prepared and explained tax return forms for low-income members of the community.Chris is licensed to practice law in Indiana, and is registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
