Life doesn’t always take us on the course we expected. My career is a fine example of this as I have journeyed from building timber yachts as an accomplished shipwright to a career in sales and management. It’s a long story with more success than regrets and I probably would not change a thing.I work for Jaylon as their Business Development Manager, for primarily horticultural products, within the Industrial sector. Strangely I am utilising most of the significant skills I have earned throughout my diverse career. I enjoy the challenges of management and building relationships teamed with hands on skills from my trade background, computing and technology, plus I travel the state meeting interesting people.I don’t see myself as a sales person, but rather consider myself to be a provider of solutions. I am motivated in seeing plans come together, and teaming with others to accomplish the impossible. It is so much easier to achieve results in an enjoyable environment, and I would like to think that I played a part in the success.
