Technical consulting responsibilities included conceptual and detailed design of a wide variety of innovative environmental remediation processes and environmental controls, including groundwater sparge curtains to mitigate venting of contaminants to surface water, vapor barriers and sub-slab depressurization systems to mitigate volatile organic contaminant intrusion to indoor airspace, removal of hazardous building materials from existing construction in anticipation of facility decommissioning/demolition, in situ treatment of soil and groundwater contaminants via oxidation, sparging, vapor extraction, biological degradation. Ultimately held overall responsibility for engineering design, construction management, and business office functions for a 30 person, $4-8MM/year, privately held environmental engineering, consulting and design-build/operate firm.

Developed P&IDs, mechanical plans, technical specifications and instrument data sheets. Responsible for specification, procurement and oversight of construction of custom process vessels, heat exchangers, pumps and mechanical/process specialty equipment. Particular emphasis in high alloy/titanium alloy construction associated with atmospheric and deep vacuum steam stripping systems for use in environmental treatment applications, as well as high volume groundwater remediation treatment operations (to 1.4 MGD).
