My mission remains unchanged -- to build better medicines. My roots are in Hawaii, but I made the difficult decision to pursue my professional (and personal) growth in the Bay Area, where I believe I could make a bigger impact on people's lives. I've taken no shortcuts to gaining the knowledge and expertise on how to bring a drug from lab to bedside. I put in long hours and worked alongside some of our industry's most experienced process chemists in one of our country's largest CMOs in API manufacture. I later joined one of the Bay Area's most innovative teams and solved critical process development issues in order to take our drug towards commercialization. I then managed the commercial manufacture of a high-profile (fast-tracked) cancer API and am currently engaging in the development and management of other new and promising small molecule APIs towards commercialization.I've had the unique experience of being on both sides of the CMO-customer relationship. I've seen (and done) what is necessary to pushing a drug towards regulatory filing, and I've been placed in the position of making decisions critical to the success of the CMC team. I am proud of my track record and can only function with forward-thinking and highly productive teams.
