• Worked on numerous construction projects from the schematic design phase through construction administration. Responsibilities included performing heating and cooling load calculations, designing ductwork layouts and making equipment selections. Tasks during the construction phase included reviewing submittals and responding to requests for information. • Performed a life cycle cost analysis on a window and boiler replacement project at a condominium. Developed a report for the client outlining alternative replacement options based on an energy model that was normalized from existing conditions and utility bills. Utilized a thermal imaging camera to identify problem areas in the building envelope.• Created energy models for various building types including data centers and a refrigerated warehouse. Estimated the savings impact of numerous Energy Conservation Measures in conjunction with ESCOs in order to reduce energy consumption in government buildings. Developed potential solutions for government clients seeking to achieve an ENERGY STAR rating for their buildings.• Assisted on the design and documentation of several projects targeting LEED and EarthCraft certification. Provided support on LEED NC, CI, and EBOM projects achieving all four levels of certification. Led the MEP LEED effort on multiple commercial projects.• Assisted on the design of a university in the Middle East specializing in health sciences and seeking LEED Gold certification. Worked on a project team consisting of engineers and architects located on four continents. Developed and delivered reports for three campus buildings based on eQuest models that outlined energy savings and usage. Analyzed different methods of shading of the fenestration in order to reduce the solar heat gain.
