In June, 2012, the University of Manitoba announced that Christopher Adams was appointed Rector of St. Paul’s College at the University of Manitoba. In addition to serving the community of St. Paul's College, Dr. Adams is the Chair of the Board of Directors for the Arthur V. Mauro Institute for Peace and Justice.Christopher holds a PhD from Carleton University and two degrees from the University of Manitoba. He is a Certified Analytics and Insights Professional (CAIP) which is awarded by Certified Analytics and Insights Professionals of Canada. He is also a Credentialed Evaluator (CE) from the Canadian Evaluation Society.From 1995 to 2012 Christopher worked in the market research industry in various middle and senior management positions while holding two Adjunct Professor positions. One at the University of Winnipeg in the Department of Politics and the other at the I.H. Asper School of Business at the University of Manitoba. He is currently an adjunct professor in political studies at the University of Manitoba. He continues to serve as a senior advisor on projects.His Politics in Manitoba: Parties, Leaders and Voters published by the University of Manitoba Press in 2008 was a finalist for the Alexander Kennedy Isbister Award for Non-Fiction. He co-edited Metis in Canada: Identity, History, Laws and Politics which is published by the University of Alberta Press. Right now he is working on a history of the market research industry in Canada.Dr. Adams is a regular commentator for the CBC, the Winnipeg Free Press, CJOB, and other media outlets.Specialties include polling and quantitative surveys relating to education, the labour market, and public policy. Qualitative research includes focus group moderating, executive level interviews and moderating stakeholder sessions and round-tables regarding public policy issues and government decision-making.
