I am a Neurosurgery resident studying bioengineered human neural stem cell therapies for traumatic spinal cord injury and other diseases of the central nervous system in the lab of Dr. Michael Fehlings at UHN. I completed medical training at Queen's University in Kingston, Canada before joining the training program in the Division of Neurosurgery at the University of Toronto. I currently serve on the University of Toronto Department of Surgery's Research Committee, the Translational Research Committee, and the University's Medical Innovation Toronto (MiTO) executive committee. I am CMO and interim CEO of Inteligex Inc., a biotechnology company developing neuroprotective and regenerative therapeutics for CNS disease. My ongoing academic work focuses on clinically-relevant strategies to modify the acute and chronic post-injury extracellular matrix to generate an environment that is more conducive to cell-based regeneration.
