With over 9 years of professional Java development experience, I took a hiatus from the field for artistic pursuits and am now eager to get back to coding. I have now hardened my basic skill set with an Oracle certification and have learned popular tools, principally Netbeans, MySQL and Glassfish. I have updated from expertise with Java Core version 6 to hands-on working familiarity with Java Core version 8.If you are looking for RESTful, SOAP, EJB, JPA, Spring, JSF, Maven or any other Java API, framework or build tool skills - If I don't have them now - I will become productive with requirements in short order and put in the extra time to compensate for any deficiencies. I am a quick learner and conditioned to fast clean turnaround on projects.I did not know a kernel of UNIX when I started at Wilshire Associates Incorporated and was directedto prepare myself with a prospective job offer. I bought a book. I read the book. I answered some questions over the phone and was at work two weeks later writing shell scripts and adding to the crontab. I was employed nearly ten years at the company and obtained two promotions.
