-Warranted CO for contract actions valued at up to $5 million dollars-Plans, organizes and tracks assigned requirements as a CO and works with/develops assigned CA's-Performs pre-award work associated with a wide range of contract types including the review, evaluation and approval of purchase requests, the determination of the acquisition strategy and ensuring compliance with small business program guidelines-Works with the assigned CA to determine contract set-asides, meet award dates and ensure contract files are complete and accurately documented-Serves as a business advisor to mission partners providing guidance on contract options and actions and improving mission partner knowledge on contracting requirements and processes-Performs contract administration functions including contract scope determinations, contract modifications, sole source actions, justifications and approvals, exercising of option years, contract negotiations, termination for convenience and Contracting Officer Representative (COR) compliance-Serves as Approving Official for unit Government Purchase Card (GPC) Holder-Develop training on the role of the Contracting office for GPC purchases exceeding the micro purchase limit and provide the training to mission partners as part of GPC refresher training and monthly GPC classes
