I have over 20 years of business ownership and management. I have accumulated a strong background in low-voltage electronics; working my way from pulling cable, to managing teams of technicians and training. I have a weakness and a lure for computers and all their quirks. I do enjoy the hardware side more than the software and with my management background, I believe I will make a strong network administrator or Information Systems administrator.Well......looking at the blurb above, I see that life never seems to go the way you think it will, lol. "I enjoy the hardware side more than the software" hmmmm....what am I doing now?? Oh, software, CCL programming and query writing, and quality solutions. This is a FANTASTIC job and organization I am with and I am ecstatic that life does not always go the way you plan!! Internship involved assisting the Clinical Nurse/EMR super-user with design, implementation, training, error reduction, and system integration of the AllScripts EMR software for the 34 physicians and associated PA’s, MA’s, and staff both onsite and off-site locations. I worked directly with the Information Systems Director in developing current policies and procedures and other related tasks. I was hired full time November 2012 to the Quality Improvement Department as their first analyst and our analytics team has since grown. I assist both Inpatient and Ambulatory sides of our organization with reporting and design for PGIP, CPC+, PQRS (now MIPS & PCF), MU, Pop Health, PCMH, and other APM’s through Cerner and Athena EMR tools. I have created most of the data matrices for our executive committees and I sit on many committees as well. I am also directly involved with our Lean initiatives as we committed to becoming a Lean Organization and I have helped facilitate 19 events. Helped to develop and sit on the Board of “The Network” which is based on a methodology that typical hierarchical environments are slow and reactive to situations instead of proactive and concurrent. We are empowered to make and facilitate change for improvement without following the standard organization hierarchy. An agile and fast organizational improvement with employee/organizational change empowerment is our goal, as tasked by the President and CEO. The past 8 years I have designed, developed, and managed Oaklawn’s OR Block Utilization, turnover time, and block release tracking matrix. Sit on the block committee and continuously improve our block reporting. In-depth knowledge of the process and calculations for accurate reporting.
