Christopher Amick, PG, LRS, is a retired technical and administrative manager who served as regional manager of KEMRON Environmental Services, Inc.’s (KEMRON) Poca, West Virginia office, where he managed technical and administrative issues. He also was responsible for business development, quality assurance, and customer relations issues associated with his office. Mr. Amick began his professional career as a geologist in 1985. He worked for several years for state and county regulatory agencies in West Virginia and Florida before entering the environmental consulting industry in 1989.An experienced senior project manager, Mr. Amick’s technical experience includes project management, direction, and implementation of Voluntary Remediation/Brownfields projects; RCRA Facility Investigations under RCRA Corrective Action programs and EPA Region III Facility Lead Corrective Action Program, RI/FS programs under CERCLA, Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessments (including those performed for property transactions); waste characterization and disposal projects; UST investigation, corrective action, and closure projects; environmental site remediation projects including groundwater pump and treat, dual-phase high vacuum extraction (DPHVE), air sparge/soil vapor extraction (AS/SVE) and chemical oxidation; aquifer characterization projects, environmental/health and safety audits; site-specific Groundwater Protection Plans (GPPs); stormwater permitting; and groundwater monitoring well installation and sampling. He has experience working on both CERCLA and RCRA projects under USEPA regulations.
