A barrister of twenty five years' call who prosecutes and defends in equal measure, in independent criminal practice, at 23,Essex Street, one of the leading criminal/regulatory/white collar fraud sets of chambers in the Temple. Christopher practises in a wide range of criminal work including terrorism, homicide, firearms, cyber crime, human-trafficking, complex fraud, money-laundering, financial crime, confiscation and extradition cases. He is on a short list of barristers who prosecute at the highest level for the CPS' Special Crime Group which is based at CPS Headquarters and handles organised crime and terrorism and other complex cases with a national profile. Such cases often involve money-laundering. He is also on a list of those who prosecute for the CPS London Complex Casework Unit (instructed by the Special Casework Unit and Homicide Unit) which handles the most difficult and complex prosecutions in London, including complex fraud and other substantial cases. Christopher is also appointed to the Specialist Rape Prosecutors' List.He is, in addition, appointed to the CPS General Crime Prosecutors List at the highest level (4).He defends in cases at the same level. His practice is equally apportioned between prosecution and defence work. He is pitted increasingly against Queen's Counsel in the cases he undertakes.   Christopher has prosecuted and defended in a wide range of criminal cases over the last 25 years. He has also appeared in Courts Martial. His expertise in criminal work grew out of a mixed criminal/civil practice when he started at the Bar in a General Common Law set of chambers on the Western Circuit.
