Specific matters in which I have recently, successfully advised clients include:1. The takeover of a regionally significant cultural/entertainment venue by another regional cultural body;2. Conversions of schools from local authority maintained status to academy status, including conversion of single schools to both single academy trust and multi academy trust status, conversion of single academy trusts to multi academy trust status and new academies joining existing multi academy trusts. I have advised on the property, commercial and funding aspects of the matters;3. Creation of a ground rent portfolio;4. The sale and acquisition of farms, including matters relating to Basic Payment Scheme Entitlements, Agri-Enviromental Agreements and occupational arrangements;5. Acquisition of dental practices by dental professionals.

I am a solicitor in the non-contentious department, specialising in Commercial Property.I advise clients in relation to all non-contentious aspects of commercial property law and have particular experience in relation to landlord and tenant matters, including estate management issues, the acquisition and disposal of properties, both freehold and leasehold, including tenanted investment properties and secured lending transactions. I also advise on both the property and commercial aspects of Academy School conversions.My clients include both private and public sector organisations of all sizes, the latter including NHS Trusts, schools and Local Authorities. I have also acted for clients in a wide variety of sectors, including lenders (both institutional lenders and lenders to the third sector), industries such as manufacturing, rail and air transport, hospitality and renewable energy, and of course, private individuals.

I was a solicitor in the Business Property Services Unit. I specialised in acquisitions and disposals of investment property, secured lending transactions, landlord and tenant matters and the property aspects of corporate transactions. I acted for a wide range of clients, including large PLCs and also have experience of acting for public sector bodies where PFI structures exist and in relation to academy school conversions.

I was part of the Developers team, specialising in property matters involving public sector bodies.

I worked as a trainee solicitor for six months in each of the Commercial and Projects department, the Banking department, the Technology, Media and Communications department and the Commercial Property department.
