In 2009, I was diagnosed with an adult-onset muscle disease called Limb-girdle muscular dystrophy type 2B (LGMD2B). For the longest time, I struggled to accept what was happening to me. Eventually, after several years and lots of trial and error, I learned resilience strategies that helped me piece my life back together.
