Increased National Accounts share of the UK turnover from 8% to 65% giving a market share of almost 90%.Made the UK National Accounts the LARGEST CONTRIBUTOR OF ALL SALES WORLDWIDE, over £8 million. From January 1996 I was promoted to working with agents to develop sales to the multiples in Holland and Belgium. Ran a team of overseas agents, setting targets and goals, making joint visits.Ran 2 brands, Friedland (door chimes) and Superswitch (home control and security products including security lighting). Researched and implemented employing a merchandising service to increase turnover in stores which lead to Sales INCREASE by 20.9%, Returns REDUCED by 32% costs increasing just by only 5% thus maximising profits.Represented Friedland on Caradon Group’s Best Practice Committee, which set the policy for the group and personally wrote a number of ‘Best Practices’ for the group including ‘Customer Contact Management’. Ran a sales - force of 10 retail salesmen INCREASING TURNOVER in real terms by 23%.Responsible for forecasting, strategy planning, budgeting and goal setting with maximising profit opportunities, development of sales and margin enhancement.Amongst the SUCCESSES with the major accounts were:EXCLUSIVE in B&Q (Removing competitor), Texas, (Removing competitor) Homebase, Won EXCLUSIVE New Business in Focus, Great Mills and Do It All Removing competitors. Won New Business with Argos, Index, Kays, GUS, Littlewoods, Empire Stores, and Grattons. Won New Accounts, Woolworths, Currys, Asda, Costco, Makro, Morrisons, Tesco, Sainsbury, Robert Dyas, John Lewis Partnership, Harrods, House of Fraser, Alders, and Boots.
