Chris has been actively involved in the real estate industry since 1978. He has been a broker and manager with both large and small companies and has started several successful real estate offices from scratch. He has earned designations as an Accredited Buyer representative, Certified Residential Broker, Graduate of the REALTORS® Institute and is a Professional Services Certified Specialist. In addition Chris has worked as a consultant for numerous real estate companies as well as firms in other industries and the not-for-profit sector. He has taught (and teaches) courses for universities, colleges and private education companies as well as his own school, Learning Unlimited. In 2001 the Connecticut Association of REALTORS® elected him Educator of the Year. He is certified as an instructor for REALTOR®’s Buyer Agent Council and the Women’s Council of REALTORS®. Chris has also contributed to the major real estate textbooks used in Connecticut and around the nation. He is a reviewer for Modern Real Estate Practice and Connecticut Real Estate Practice and Law and the Testbank Reviewer for Connecticut Real Estate Exam Prep. Recently Chris left office management and now works full time as an educator and personal coach through his school, Learning Unlimited. He provides extensive individual consulting, mentoring, coaching and training for real estate professionals helping salespeople, start-up companies and experienced firms as well as firms outside of real estate with his sales and management expertise based on years of field experience. In the fall of 2006 Chris and Andrea Becker Abbott started an alternative real estate company called Fair Choice Realty providing clients with full service at hourly rates and flat fees rather than percentage commissions.Chris is available as a speaker trainer and will design courses to meet the specific needs of a client.
