Mechanical Design Engineer at Ball Aerospace currently working in the Imaging and Surveillance area. Oversees the design of non-conventional electro-optical systems. Involves design of high precision mechanisms, complex opto-mechanical design, application development, system integration and test, and multi-disciplinary engineering team management. Major contributor to technical and cost proposals ranging from R&D to EMD/LRIP RFPs. Along with primary program duties, I also participate in university capstone project mentoring, manage in house prototype manufacturing equipment, and am RE for legacy mechanism support for the Electro-Optical Systems group. I began work in the motion system industry in January 2015 working with the design, production, assembly, testing, and integration of high performance, nano-precision motion systems used in industries such as laser cutting, metrology, automated high precision production, and various research fronts.I graduated from the Colorado School of Mines in December of 2014 with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering. While in school, I had strong ties with the club Ice Hockey team and participated in various volunteer activities. I have a variety of hobbies including mountain biking, rock climbing, ice hockey, mountaineering, camping, carpentry, fabrication, and DIY electronics.
