As the Nurse Supervisor I report directly to my Nurse Manager, underneath which I provide guidance, mentorship, and direction for the Operating Room personnel, consisting of Registered Nurse Circulators, Certified Surgical Technicians, Anesthesia Techs, and all ancillary staff. I assist in coordinating and facilitating a work culture conducive of productivity, growth & development, and the delivery of high quality patient care with coordination of services provided on the behalf of our team with the surgeons, anesthesiologists, and all resource teams, personalized to each and every patient’s unique needs.

My responsibilities composes of the safety and well-being of our patients, coordination of care between surgeons, anesthesiologist, x-ray and scrub technicians, ensuring sterility and efficient flow within the surgical environment, assist with intubation, document events in a detailed and timely manner, assist as a sedation nurse under the supervision of an anesthesiologist, insertion of IV lines, Foley catheters and correct counts of instruments. Working with a small team, I have learned to become more efficient in my role, and learned how to truly assist every personnel as a team member. Along with the responsibilities listed above, I am also held accountable in assisting with the turnover, such as mopping the floors, wiping down machines to ensure sterility, as well as providing assistance with turning over the anesthesia machine. Below listed is an example of surgeries I have circulated. Introduced to computer charting, proficient in the medium of documentation; attention to detail strongly enforced. We average 15-20 cases daily.
