Christopher Austins is a well known, highly experienced advocate with a robust but sympathetic approach specialising in Contract/Commercial, Personal Injury, Regulatory Crime & Family matters. He was formerly Head of Chambers at Assize Court Chambers, Bristol, before joining Clerksroom in 2002. He has extensive experience in a number of areas of litigation, ranging from High Court trials involving quantum of more than £1,000,000 to the most serious criminal cases, and so has high level advocacy expertise in very serious matters. Before call to the Bar he owned and managed two aviation-based companies, a commercial parachuting centre and a flying school. He has an understanding of commercial, business matters and relates well to business clients. He has managed a number of construction projects and thus has an understanding of the building process which is helpful when dealing with building disputes. He is approved by the Bar Council to accept direct public access instructions and has done so since 2008.
