Began my career as an attorney in private practice dealing with a broad spectrum of criminal and civil matters within multiple counties in North Carolina. Transitioned to working as an Assistant District Attorney (ADA) for almost nine years, where I handled and tried cases ranging from traffic tickets and DWIs to first degree capital murder, and everything in between. I worked closely with a vast group of different state and federal agencies, including a direct partnership with federal prosecutors related to crimes involving violence and firearms. Subsequently worked as a contract negotiator within a Clinical Research Organization (CRO), where I facilitated study start-up with research sites. Most recently my wife and I have combined our 35 years of legal experience to open a law firm providing holistic estate planning and family law services, where our goal is to show our clients a legal practice focused heavily on conflict resolution and client communication and satisfaction.
