I oversee child support operations for 5 of the 10 regions in Georgia.

I lead eight Child Support Services Offices covering 24 counties in Northeast Georgia. Our mission is to enhance the well-being of children by assuring that assistance in obtaining support, including financial and medical, is available to children through locating parents, establishing support obligations and monitoring, enforcing, and reviewing support orders. Our mission has expanded to assist non-custodial parents find employment and overcome barriers through our outreach programs so they can adequately support their children.

 Provide direct supervision to unit supervisors of the various programs within the assigned area to ensure the delivery of services and compliance with program policies/regulations consistent with the Department’s strategic plan; Submit budget recommendations and ensure that unit spending stays within budget guidelines; Coordinate resources, policies and procedures to achieve and maintain service delivery for three counties; Ensure compliance with department policies and make adjustments based on mandates/priorities; Develop programs and resources to enhance service delivery; Participate in interviewing and selection process for all new hires in the unit; Work closely with other community agencies (including school systems) to ensure clients are “wrapped” in appropriate services; Meet at least monthly with supervisors and staff to review programs, goals and objectives of department; Member of Family Connections Board; Member of Child Advocacy Center Team for Abused Children; Member of Local Interagency Planning Team
