As the RAPTCI for 8 Rifles, I’m responsible for developing and maintaining the physical fitness of our reservists, making sure that both individuals and units are fully prepared for the demands of frontline infantry missions. 8 Rifles is a Reserve Infantry Battalion in the British Army, and my role is to ensure our soldiers are physically ready to tackle the challenges they’ll face in military operations.

I specialised in training executives and delivering comprehensive fitness and nutrition advice to organisations. My focus was on enhancing productivity and staff wellbeing through tailored fitness programmes and wellness strategies. By addressing the unique needs of each individual and organisation, I helped improve overall health, reduce stress, and increase workplace efficiency, ultimately fostering a healthier, more productive workforce.

During my time serving in the British Army, I had the opportunity to deploy to Afghanistan multiple times as part of a small team of six individuals. Our mission was to deliver GSF (Ground Support Flight) capabilities to the UK's Attack Helicopter units. This experience provided me with a deep understanding of the importance of teamwork and effective communication in high-stress environments.

After my tours in Afghanistan, I would go on to hold various roles within the British Army. I was appointed as a Landing Point Commander and later on a role as an All Arms Physical Training Instructor. This position allowed me to develop my leadership and training skills, as I was responsible for building, training and maintaining the fitness levels of UK Armed forces. My goal was to ensure that the troops were physically prepared to deploy overseas and carry out operations effectively.
