• Consultant providing insight, research and leadership to various clients on healthcare topics and trends including utilization, coverage, medical cost/reimbursement, value based and innovative contracting, and strategic relationship management.

• Responsible for leading the assessment, development, articulation, negotiation, implementation and relationship management of innovative value based provider reimbursement agreements with large integrated healthcare delivery systems representing more than One Billion Dollars in annual spend. • Responsible for all research, analysis, development, implementation and negotiation of provider network strategies and initiatives, including: long-term strategic contracting initiatives, reducing cost of care, improving quality of care, provider incentive programs, network adequacy, and contract administration improvements.• Interfaced with all BCBSNC areas and levels to ensure the assignment and cooperation of resources (FTEs, Technology, etc.) necessary to successfully implement strategic network initiatives and negotiated agreements.• Led the development of feasibility models and forecasting the performance impact of contractual agreements with assigned health systems and providers.• Served as the Network Management Subject Matter Expert for durable medical equipment, laboratory services, and mental health. • Led regular Joint Operating Committee meetings with assigned health systems to review the expected performance of negotiated agreements, provide critical business updates, and address provider concerns.

• Managed United’s relationships with Tier 1 physician groups across North and South Carolina including the responsibility for facilitating and managing a cross functional team including Care Coordination, Sales, IT, Customer Service, and the Health Plan executives in high impact negotiations. • Further responsible to create and maintain strong working relationships and monitor ongoing activities with Provider Relations, Network Contrast Support, and Audit & Recovery which may impact contractual relationships. • Accountable for analyzing market and industry trend data and incorporating that analysis into contracting strategies, the financial analysis of all reimbursement proposals, and the reporting of unit cost trends for assigned physician practices. • Mentored new hires and served as a team wide Subject Matter Expert on legislative trends, data analysis, and negotiation strategy.

• Served as the primary recruiter and contract negotiator for participating physicians in 26 counties through Central and Western New York managing a network of nearly 15,000 participating physicians and 2,000 non-participating physicians. • Recruiting responsibilities included continual sourcing and development of relationships with potential participating providers, continued maintenance of recruiting databases to track contact with and interest by providers, and reporting provider participation in government sponsored/regulated programs to the New York State Department of Health. • Contract negotiation responsibilities included the development of financial agreements with potential multi-million dollar economic impacts between my employer and both potential and existing participating providers seeking increases in their reimbursement rates.

• Served as a commission based residential mortgage loan officer for the bank’s Chase Home Finance. • Primary responsibilities included the development and implementation of strategic marketing plans to generate 3rd party referrals for over 100 different first and second mortgage products from sources including realtors, CPA’s, financial advisors, attorneys and internal bank sources. • Responsible for having an in-depth knowledge of Chase credit policy and being able to analyze potential borrower’s financial and credit histories and position to give recommendations regarding creditworthiness to my clients, referral sources and underwriting.

• Began as a telemarketing sales representative and advanced to become the Branch Manager. • Oversaw team of seven Loan Originators and two Loan Processors.• Responsible for meeting branch origination, pricing, and initial underwriting goals of sub-prime mortgage loans. • Held weekly staff meetings to review current production status versus goals, collaborate as a team to review lead generation and sales strategies, and review sales training materials.
